Cyriocosmus Elegans is one of the smallest tarantulas in the world. Because of its small size, The Trinidad Dwarf Tarantula has a global enthusiast and is loved by countless female keepers. In particular, the small heart-shaped pattern on the abdomen is the charm of this tarantula, which gives it the nickname 'Valentine.'

Females are small in size, not more than 5cm, even if they become full adults, and males are 3-4cm, so there is not much difference in size between males and females. This tarantula is so small, but it's also because sexual dysplasia rarely occurs. Most of the looks and colors of fully grown males and females are similar. In the case of juvenile, it is less than 0.5cm in size, so be careful not to lose it.

And maybe because of its small size, it grows very fast. You can expect full maturity in as early as a year, and in as little as 18 months.

Usually, they live in burrows, but they are more active at night than during the day. Unlike other tarantulas, A cave can have multiple entrances, not one. They usually connect about three entrances and weave wide webs around them. Breeders can make interesting observations because the Trinidad Dwarf is small in size and enjoys hunting large prey.

Basically, because they are scared and docile, the difficulty of breeding is low.However, it is recommended to be especially careful when moving containers from high places because there is a wedge hair in the abdomen as well as the poison in the poison teeth, and it is very vulnerable to external shocks.
