The Malaysian Earth Tiger(Scientific Name : Omothymus Schioedtei) is a species of tarantula found in Malaysia, also known by its other name, Cyriopagopus schioedtei.
This tarantula is an arboreal tarantula with large and colorful colors, but depending on the surrounding environment, it shows both roaming and burrowing. In juvenile, they are wandering and burrowing, but as they become adults, they often show a strong tendency to be arboreal. It can grow up to 22 cm in length and is very sexual dysplasia, so anyone can easily distinguish between male and female. Males are generally beige or olive and green, with legs close to light brown and yellow. In the case of females, on the other hand, the more they shed, the darker the color, and the more distinct the spots in the abdomen become. In addition, the color change of the back armor changes to a dark yellow color that is close to golden, which can be pale yellow or olive depending on the individual.
Males have a lifespan of three to four years, and females have an average lifespan of 13 to 15 years. In some cases, they live longer than that, but they are not universal.
The breeding difficulty is quite high, so it used to form a fairly high price point in the past, but it's not very expensive these days thanks to many Breeders.
It is very sensitive, easily responsive to small shocks and sounds, defensive, and agile in movement. Among arboreal tarantulas, the strength of the legs is considerable and the basic temperament is aggressive, so it is suitable for superiors with a lot of breeding experience and has strong venom, so it is recommended not to touch them directly if you do not want to have a terrible experience.
