Chilobrachys Huahini, called Asian Fawn, is a species of tarantula first discovered in the Hua Hin region of Thailand. It is named after the region and is also called Hauhini Bird Eater, Hauhini Bird Spider, Thai Red.

Although sexual dysplasia is not obvious, it can be somewhat difficult to distinguish them only by color because there is not much difference between the color of female adults and that of male adults. The females are much thicker and larger in size, with a dark brown color close to grey, while the males have a red brown color close to red. Females have relatively large carapace. Females are known to live at least 10 years, while males have a lifespan of around 3 years. The coloration from juvenile to adult is almost the same, and there is no significant change in all appearances except for size.

Unlike the name Bird Eater, it does not grow very much, but the maximum size of females is known to be between 15 and 16 cm. Males are smaller, about 12-13 centimeters.

The native Hua Hin region boasts tremendous rainfall and humidity, so it is characterized by enduring relatively high humidity, and despite being a terrestrial tarantula, it is also a species that digs a lot of ground and webs a lot. It has a very strong defensive temperament, a very high speed of movement, and a strong poison, so keepers should always pay attention.

Containers need enough cork bark or soil to serve as their shelter, and we recommend adding more structures. If there's a lot of space to be sheltered, they'll spout a bunch of cobwebs to decorate their containers.

Therefore, it is suitable for breeders with some experience rather than novice breeders, and its excellent food response, aggression, and fast growth rate are the great attractions of this tarantula, but it is not recommended for breeders for observation purposes because they spend almost all of their time in hiding except during dark nights or wandering for meals.
