Psalmopoeus Ecclesiasticus, commonly known as the Ecuadorian Olive Tree Spider, is a new world arboreal tarantula. A fully mature Ecuadorian Olive Tree Spider has an olive and bronze color throughout its body, with a brighter, glossier coat, and a vivid pattern on its abdomen. In some cases, this pattern disappears as it becomes an adult, which is more evident in the tiny Psalmopoeus Ecclesiasticus . As adults grow, the hair on their legs turns red and their shoulders remain olive.
If the breeding environment is well established, it shows a fairly rapid growth rate and females tend to be slightly larger than males. Compared to other tarantulas, there is not much difference in size between males and females.
It is known that males need a period of about four years to mature. Depending on the breeding environment, you can expect full maturity more quickly, but compared to similar types of tarantulas, males grow a little slower.
They are scared and cautious, so they are less aggressive and have a habit of running away quickly or hiding in hiding places. Therefore, it is suitable for beginners to raise.
It is recommended not to interfere as much as possible as it can be sensitive to stress.
